TorontoHydro Chooses Mincom Utilities Solution

DENVER, CO., February 27, 2001 - BUSINESS WIRE - Mincom, Inc., the Australia headquartered/Denver-based software solutions provider for the utilities industry, announced the signing of TorontoHydro Electric System, Ltd., an electric distribution utility providing electricity to over 650,000 customers in the Ontario Province of Canada, for its web-based Ellipse 5.2 suite of utilities software management applications.

The TorontoHydro contract is considered a bell-weather North American Utilities contract. The amalgamation of six regional utilities companies in the Toronto area, TorontoHydro has streamlined to provide systematic efficiencies by handling nearly all electrical distribution for Canada's largest metropolitan area. Many similarly situated utilities in North America going through the same changes are expected to undergo the same software and solutions selection process within the next eighteen months.

Mincom will deploy its flagship Ellipse software system to integrate and facilitate the streamlining of TorontoHydro's many business processes, including maintenance, work management, materials, financials, and human resources. In addition, Ellipse will integrate with SCT's Banner Customer Information Billing System.

Cambridge Management Consulting is a key partner with Mincom in providing Change Management in order to ensure a smooth transition to the new system for TorontoHydro's 1,900 employees as well as to help maximize the utility's investment.
