Steven P. Fisher Named SAIC Treasurer
SAN DIEGO, CA., February 22, 2001 - Science Applications
International Corporation (SAIC) has named Steven P. Fisher as treasurer
of SAIC. Fisher joined SAIC's Corporate Planning office in 1988.
He has held various positions and most recently served in a dual
role as assistant treasurer and as corporate vice president for
finance reporting to the chief executive officer. In this capacity
he was responsible for implementing an integrated approach to treasury
management and strategic financial planning.
"Steve Fisher has played a vital role in many strategic acquisitions
and developments over the past five years," said Thomas E.
Darcy, SAIC executive vice president and chief financial officer.
"He has developed and implemented unique approaches for planning,
monitoring, and managing the Company's overall financial structure
during rapidly changing business periods. He will make an excellent
treasurer for SAIC."
Prior to joining SAIC, Fisher served as the lead engineer on several
weapons programs for the Northrop Corporation. Additionally, as
part of his graduate work, he provided consulting services related
to evaluating and managing employee benefit costs.
Fisher earned a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and a master's degree
in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University
of Pennsylvania.
