Orcom Names David Erickson VP of
Marketing, Len Tanner VP of Operations
BEND, OR., February 2, 2001 - ORCOM, the leading Application
Service Provider (ASP) for customer care and billing solutions to
the utility industry, has named David Erickson Vice President, Marketing
and Len Tanner Vice President, Operations.
Erickson will be responsible for leading product management, industry
relations and marketing communications efforts. He previously was
Vice President, Product Strategy. Tanner, previously Director of
Operations, will continue to oversee the company’s Customer Service
Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, as well as manage its account management
and professional service departments.
“These two individuals are prime movers behind ORCOM’s business
strategy – growing the company through cultivating delighted customers.
They also have been, and will continue to be, instrumental in helping
the industry become more comfortable with the business model of
outsourcing CIS services,” said Hack Heyward, ORCOM President.
Erickson has worked in various positions at ORCOM since 1993, most
recently as Vice President, Product Strategy, and has been instrumental
in charting product strategy for the company's e-business, deregulation
and productivity initiatives. Prior to joining ORCOM, Erickson served
in several management capacities at Hewlett-Packard Company in the
areas of marketing, product management, sales and research and development
and also managed strategic planning and financial analysis at Genentech,
Inc. and American Hospital Supply Corporation.
Tanner has held a variety of customer service, operations and resource
management responsibilities with AT&T Universal Card Services,
Andersen Consulting and Convergys. At ORCOM, he has played an instrumental
role in building ORCOM’s Scottsbluff operations into a respected
and recognized customer service center. Last year the facility received
the Nebraska Edgerton Award for Quality Improvement and CIO magazine’s
CIO-100 Award for excellence in customer service.
