SPL WorldGroup Establishes Global Structure
with Singular Focus on Energy Industry
SAN FRANCISCO, CA., December 4, 2000 - SPL WorldGroup today
announced a new organization structure designed to Support development
and delivery of the company's customer management product to energy
companies in evolving markets around the globe.
"The new organization structure positions SPL WorldGroup as
a product company with a singular focus on the energy industry,"
said CD Hobbs, president and CEO. "Previously decentralized
functions are now part of a single global structure that helps ensure
our product and our clients stay ahead of changes in the market.

600, have unmatched experience in the energy industry and now can
work as one company with a global approach to the market" said
Hobbs. "We will be substantially better able to work in collaboration
with our clients and evolve our product as the market evolves."
SPL WorldGroup's customer management product has been selected
by the most progressive energy companies in evolving markets on
six continents. Its technology ensures highly accurate customer
care and billing, and provides the flexibility for energy companies
to rapidly adapt to changes in the marketplace and regulation.
The new structure established by Hobbs organizes the company's
global operations along the continuum from product conceptualization
and development through sales, installation and support. Each group
is led by a person with an extensive background in the energy industry.
Marketing and strategy is the responsibility of J. Guerry Waters,
senior vice president, who is recognized in the energy industry
as one of the top ten global experts in customer relationship management.
He recently joined SPL WorldGroup from META Group. Waters is responsible
for defining product and market strategies including strategic alliances,
business development, and market development. He also is charged
with developing and managing SPL WorldGroup's intellectual capital,
integrating it into the formation of corporate, product and market
strategy
Product development within SPL WorldGroup is the responsibility
of Madeline Selig, vice president of product development. Selig
also directs client service. The group developed the architecture
for SPL WorldGroup's highly flexible customer management technology
and is responsible for all new releases of the product. Selig has
more than 20 years experience in the technology industry with a
record of developing quality product on time. She joined SPL from
Spear Technologies.
Brenton McPherson, senior vice president, is now responsible for
global sales, and will manage the sale of all SPL WorldGroup products
and services in all markets. The global approach to sales will help
SPL WorldGroup better support energy companies that have global
strategies. Previously, McPherson was responsible for SPL sales
in the Asia Pacific and European markets.
Successful implementation of SPL WorldGroup's product is the responsibility
of David Mulit, senior vice president, global delivery. He also
is responsible for global practices, methodology and training. Mulit
has been a leader in information delivery services within the energy
industry for more than 20 years, developing a reputation for successfully
implementing both large and small scale customer information system
projects.
In a key initiative, Hobbs established a Global Accounts group
naming senior vice presidents Julian Brandes, Jim Reardon, and Ken
Rybka to Lead SPL WorldGroup's global account relationships. Placing
the responsibility at the executive level will enhance the company's
collaborative approach to working with its global clients on product
evolution and provide a high level of support to clients operating
in global markets.
