of Ramsey, Minnesota, signed an agreement to Offer SCT's Banner®
customer management solution (CMS) as part of SCT's SinglePoint
Application Service Provider (ASP) program. The agreement allows
Connexus to Offer services using the Banner system on a subscription
basis toutility companies.
SCT's ASP for the energy, utility and communications industry
called SCT SinglePoint was among the first to provide CMS and
billing-related services to the utility industry. SCT launched
its ASP in July 1997 as a natural extension of its outsourcing
business, which was started in 1975. The company generated 29
percent, or $135 million, of its 1999 revenues from outsourcing
services in 1999.
As part of today's announced agreement, Connexus will meet SCT's
ASP requirements through a certification program. After successful
completion of the program, Connexus will become an "SCT SinglePoint
ASP Certified Solution Partner." The SCT SinglePoint
ASP certification program covers a wide range of technology and
business process best practices to ensure that the program partners'
customers receive the highest degree of service. The certification
process will be updated frequently to ensure it stays current
with SCT technology and other business rule changes within the
utility industry.
