FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Grande Communications to implement
CaritaSoft's Customer Value Management(CVM) Solution
AUSTIN, TX., October 5, 2000 /PRNewswire/ - Central Texas-based broadband
company Grande Communications announced today a multi-year contract
with CaritaSoft, a customer value management (CVM) solution provider
to subscriber-based companies. CaritaSoft will supply Grande with
its CVM Suite™.
"In addition to Delivering bundled Internet, cable and phone
service to Texas residents and businesses, we aim to be the first
company in the state that has an easy-to-work-with customer service
department," said Scott Ferguson, chief operating officer for
Grande Communications. "CaritaSoft's solution gives us a platform
from which we can actively track our customers' needs and focus
our marketing and sales efforts, offer our bundled product and grow
our business as quickly as possible."
CaritaSoft's solution will integrate with Cable Service Group's
(CSG) subscriber management system Grande currently has in place,
allowing Grande to utilize data warehouse technology. The two systems
will give Grande employees an easy-to-use customer information system.
CaritaSoft's CVM Suite is the first solution to seamlessly integrate
operational and external databases, including billing, marketing
and customer care. The software provides a single view of the customer
across the enterprise and allows faster, more profitable market
penetration and enlightened customer support during every contact.
Grande will use CaritaSoft's solution to manage customer lifetime
value, automate marketing campaigns, provide instant information
to Customer care, and track and report business metrics.
"Grande's commitment to put their customers first is what
it needs to compete aggressively in the Texas marketplace,"
said Michael D'Eath, president and CEO of CaritaSoft. "The
best technology, coupled with a single view of the customer, means
everyone at Grande will always have the latest customer and prospect
information at their fingertips -- that is a powerful combination."
Grande Communications is building the first broadband network for
Texas residents and businesses along the Austin-San Antonio I-35
corridor. Grande was also recently granted permission to expand
its fiber network into Houston. Grande's bundled services will be
delivered to Customers via one line to the home with one bill and
one call for service. Grande's service will be available to Customers
along the I-35 corridor in the fourth quarter of 2000.
