Clearing House Chooses Inprise/Borland VisiBroker®4.0 And JBuilder™
3.5 to Roll Out Secure Customer Extranet
SCOTTS VALLEY, CA., September 28, 2000/PRNewswire/ - Inprise/Borland
(Nasdaq: INPR) today announced that Bankenes Betalingssentral (BBS),
Norway's clearing house, has chosen VisiBroker® 4.0 tointegrate
its existing customer information systems, and JBuilder™ 3.5
to develop an extranet between BBS and its banking partners. Inprise
technology will simplify and accelerate BBS partner access toinformation
required for processing and clearing transactions.
BBS provides clearing services to all banks in Norway. It processes
about fifty percent of all billing transactions in the country and
is linked toover fifty thousand shops in Norway providing instant
payment and cash services. The current system handles up to2 million
transactions per day. BBS' extranet went live in May 2000 providing
online banking and clearing facilities toover fifteen banks in
Norway, including Norway's three main banks, Den norske Bank, Sparebanken
Nor and K-Bank.

of contracts, uploading of legal documents, bill imaging, and transaction
checking can now be viewed and processed online.
