Workforce Management, has been selected by JEA, one of the USA's
largest municipal utilities, to provide iM:Work software for improved
communications, better customer service, and optimized work force
productivity.
iM:Work manages the activities of field services and the information
flow between mobile field staff and Customer Service staff. Leveraging
web-based technologies to improve communications and productivity

JEA's electric system currently serves more than 335,000 customers
around Jacksonville, FL. JEA's water system serves 170,000 water
customers and 127,000 sewer customers, or about 83 percent of the
total water and sewer utility customers in Duval County. JEA owns
and operates an existing electric system (the Electric System) with
three power plants and all transmission and distribution facilities.
In addition, JEA is a joint owner with Florida Power & Light
Company (FPL) in a fourth power plant, the St. Johns River PowerPark
(SJRPP), which JEA operates. SJRPP consists of two 624 net megawatt
coal/petroleum coke-fired generating units. JEA's ownership interest
in SJRPP is constituted as a separate bulk power supply system.
JEA is also a joint owner with FPL of Unit 4 at GeorgiaPower Company's
coal-fired Plant Scherer (Scherer). JEA owns a 200 net megawatt
share of Unit 4. JEA's ownership interest in Scherer is structured
as a separate JEA bulk power supply system. In addition, JEA produces
3.2 megawatts from a methane-fueled generating facility at the Girvin
Road Landfill, which began operations in fiscal year 1997. JEA's
total generating capacity is 2,742 megawatts.
JEA's Water and Sewer System consists of 98 artesian wells tapping
the Floridan Aquifer, 28 water plants, 2,800 miles of water lines,
2,100 miles of collection lines and five regional wastewater treatment
plants. The Floridan Aquifer is one of the world's most productive
aquifers.
JEA is also a partner with two other public power utilities, MEAG
Power (Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia) and Santee Cooper
(the South Carolina Public Service Authority) in The Energy Authority
(TEA), an organization established torepresent them in the buying
and selling of wholesale power. TEA went on-line in August 1997.
The governing body of JEA consists of seven members appointed by
