ATLANTA, GA., Sept. 12, 2000 - Atlanta Gas Light has selected Enercom, Inc. to provide its industry-leading Internet application, Energy Depot®, as part of its marketing strategy to Deliver services toresidential natural gas customers in Georgia.

"Our market objectives include retail energy marketing and customer care services," said Johnnie Hinton, program manager for Atlanta Gas Light. "Enercom's software applications allow us toassist retail customers in managing their energy costs, as well create a gateway for marketing gas appliances through Enercom's online Energy Mall." Hinton added that the first two products the company will offer are gas water heaters and gas fireplace logs. "Many consumers want the convenience of online shopping," said Hinton. "However, orders can also be placed over the phone through our call center."

In addition toshopping for appliances via Enercom's Energy Mall, residential consumers can go online tolearn more about how they are using natural gas and electricity. "Georgia consumers can prepare for the upcoming heating season by filling out the energy survey," said Paul Conlan, Enercom's president and CEO. "Within a few moments, they will receive a personal energy profile that shows how they are using energy and what they can do to use it more efficiently."
