SEATTLE, WA.,September 11, 2000-(BUSINESS WIRE) - ConneXt®, a Seattle-based software developer of billing and customer care solutions for the utility industry, announced today two recent promotions in the Product Development and Information Services groups that solidify the company's focus on developing the most innovative and technologically advanced customer information systems (CIS) in the marketplace.

Mike King recently accepted the promotion to director of product development. King, a seasoned software manager with over 27 years of experience in the utility industry, has been with ConneXt since its inception in 1996. Prior to his tenure at ConneXt, King served as a CIS product support supervisor at Puget Sound Power and Light, where he was employed for 22 years. "As a software manager, Mike's can-do attitude and his ability to anticipate and respond quickly to the marketplace's rapidly changing needs ensures that ConneXt will continue to bring innovative solutions to its utility customers," says ConneXt CEO Bob Dryden. "We're very pleased to have someone with Mike's level of experience leading our development team."

He's enacted a number of initiatives in the Information Services group that have streamlined and improved the service we provide to both our internal and external customers. We're certain that John will augment the management team," says ConneXt CtoZarko Sumic.

Both Heath and King will have a direct role in developing and supporting ConsumerLinX™, ConneXt's flagship CIS software product. The focus of ConneXt's ConsumerLinX is to empower utilities to enrich their marketing, billing, and delivery of energy-related products and services through state-of-the-art technologies, such as the Internet and sales force automation software.
