NEW YORK, NY., April 10, 2000 /PRNewswire/ - The McGraw-Hill Companies' (NYSE: MHP) industry leading magazine, Utilities IT, today announced that it will partner with the American Gas Association (AGA) and the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) to produce the annual AGA/EEI Energy IT Conference and Exposition. The next conference and exposition is scheduled November 5-7, 2000 in Phoenix, Ariz.

The announcement coincides with an internal reorganization at McGraw-Hill that makes Utilities IT -- and its sister publication Global Energy Business-- a part of the Platt's division. Platt's is the largest provider of energy information services in the world. Toreflect expanded coverage both within the magazine and at the AGA/EEI Energy IT Conference, Utilities IT, published by The McGraw-Hill Companies and The Geospatial Information & Technology Association, will be renamed Energy IT as of the May/June issue.
