DocuCorp Opens Dallas ASP Center
DALLAS, TX., April 6, 2000 - DocuCorp® International
(Nasdaq: DOCC), a leading provider of document automation software,
integration services and application service provider (ASP) hosting,
has opened its Dallas ASP Center in Coppell, TX, near the U.S. Postal
Service's Business Mail Entry unit at DFW International Airport.
The center was brought online in only 10 weeks to service new clients,
provide additional capacity and perform as a viable disaster recovery
site for the company's other ASP Center in Atlanta.
"DocuCorp's ASP Centers provide turnkey document automation
solutions, taking raw data from a client and turning it into digital
documents for traditional delivery through the mail or via the Internet,"
said Kerry LeCrone, DocuCorp's senior vice president of services.
"Major applications include billing, statements, checks, fulfillment
for financial services and insurance policy document production.
In creating these digital documents, DocuCorp is able to implement
applications such as electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP),
electronic archival or data mining with minimal effort.
"The Dallas ASP Center began operations March 29 -- three
days ahead of schedule -- and is primarily processing insurance
policies," LeCrone added. "Within the next 60 days, we
will transfer three utilities clients from the Atlanta ASP Center."
"Since announcing our ASP initiative last December, clients
and prospective clients have shown a great deal of interest in the
advantages available through our ASP Centers in Atlanta and Dallas,"
said Jim Risler, director of processing services for DocuCorp. "We
are implementing several EBPP applications, including one for a
major utility company."
Risler noted that DocuCorp also provides complete document archive
hosting for several major clients. Customers of these clients will
be able to access their documents directly from the ASP Centers
via the Internet.
The manager of the Dallas ASP Center is Karen Sears, formerly with
OTS. DocuCorp expects to employ a staff of more than 30 at the Dallas
location.
DocuCorp's ASP Centers offer complete document automation solutions,
including document creation, data reformatting, forms design, library
management, electronic archival and delivery options such as Internet
viewing of PDF or HTML, email or publishing on traditional paper.
If necessary, postal sorting and mailing are available. Both centers
also offer EBPP programs and Internet hosting of industry standard
forms libraries, such as the ACORD insurance forms library now offered
free at DocuCorp's FormSpot.
