Synchro is the utility industry's first commercially available, web-enabled, customer information system built to fully utilize Microsoft technology.

This year's SCT SUMMIT users conference focuses on "The Next Step" -- an examination of the choices and challenges ahead for industries at the juncture of deregulation and the e-business phenomenon. SCT SUMMIT provides a forum for users to discuss the latest industry, technological and business developments. Recognizing the need to prepare for the newly competitive environment created by deregulation, ACU selected Synchro to enable them to Offer a wider variety of products and services to its local customers while using the latest Microsoft component-based technology.

"ACU's long-term partnership with SCT contributed greatly to our product choice, as did SCT's decision to develop the Microsoft-based Synchro," Graves explained. Synchro runs on Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 7.0.
