NEW YORK, N.Y., March 15, 2000 /PRNewswire/ - Based on its year-long record of outstanding performance in Pennsylvania, InSITE SERVICES LLC announced today that Pepco Energy Services had selected it as its billing services provider for the State of Maryland. InSITE is a pioneering application service provider that fosters next-generation utilities through strategic, customer- focused, and Web-enabled billing solutions.

As it has for Pepco Energy Services' electric customers in Pennsylvania since 1998, InSITE will begin generating gas bills for Pepco Energy Services' Maryland customers beginning in March 2000 via EnerBill™, InSITE's Web- based billing application service. Beginning in April, InSITE will begin enrolling Pepco Energy Services' customers in the emerging Maryland electricity market. EnerBill offers low cost, comprehensive support for all billing processes from enrollment to Bill presentment to settlements. Specifically designed for competitive energy markets, EnerBill will interface with Pepco Energy Services' marketing, scheduling, nominating, reporting and processing systems, allowing it to focus on customer acquisition.

In addition to Electric and gas, InSITE will also provide billing for Pepco Energy Services' commercial and residential energy-related services, including such ancillary offerings as home warranties and whole-house surge suppression products.
