AMS to Help European Electric &
Gas Utilities Respond to Competitive Pressures London-Based
Kevin Rutledge to Lead European Utilities Practice

a European practice to help electric & gas utilities meet the
challenges of competition and deregulation now sweeping across Europe.
Kevin Rutledge joins AMS as Vice President to Lead the new practice,
which builds upon on the firm's successful U.S. Utilities practice
and established presence in the European telecommunications and
finance markets. Rutledge will bring to bear AMS's expertise in
ebusiness, customer care and billing, customer relationship management
and risk management.

Southern Energy, London Electricity, Anglian Water and ESB (Ireland),
address strategic planning and regulatory issues as well as business
transformation and process re-engineering. Rutledge joins AMS from
AT Kearney, where he was responsible for co-ordinating the firm's
services to utilities in the UK and Nordic region. He was previously
a founder of Arthur Andersen's utilities consulting practice in
the UK.
