MALVERN, PA, - SCT (Nasdaq: SCTC), announced today that it has reached an agreement with Central Illinois Light Company (CILCO) for the deployment of its Banner customer management system. The agreement is valued at approximately $4 million, including services and maintenance, and became effective in SCT's fourth fiscal quarter, which ended September 30, 1998.

CILCO, a subsidiary of CILCORP Inc. (NYSE: CER), provides electricity, natural gas and energy related services to250,000 customers in central and east central Illinois. CILCO, a member of the Midwest ISO (independent system operator), will be able to purchase and sell power throughout Illinois and the Midwest, when Illinois' electricity market is open to competition in 1999.
