SCT and Enlogix CIS Announce Six Total
Canadian Implementations
Billing More than 3,000,000 Customers
with SCT Banner® Customer Management System Westcoast Energy Subsidiaries
and Others Utilize SCT Banner® to Leverage Customer Relationships
MALVERN, PA, November 30, 1999 - SCT (Nasdaq:
SCTC), a leading provider of advanced software solutions for utilities,
energy service providers, and communications companies, and Enlogix
CIS announced today that all six SCT Banner Canadian implementations
planned for 1999 are now fully operational, serving 2,295,000 customers.
An additional 750,000 customers are expected to be operational in
Q1 2000 at Union Gas South, bringing the total to more than 3 million
customers. The SCT solutions were implemented by Enlogix CIS, SCT's
exclusive reseller in Canada.
"We are pleased to have successfully completed these six implementations
under a very aggressive schedule," said Anthony Haines, president
of Enlogix CIS. "As a result, we believe that Enlogix CIS is
Canada's largest utility billing service provider."
SCT's relationship leverage solutions for these Canadian utilities
enable them to expand the depth of service that can be provided
to their respective customers. As a result of integrating SCT's
Customer Management Suite, these companies will now be able to Offer
the following customer benefits:
- Linked customer accounts
- Integration of service orders, posting payments and meter readings
- Simplified record keeping and account history access
- Efficient scheduling of customer work orders
- Communicate new marketing plans to appropriate customers
- Two-way online customer service communication
"In conjunction with our partner, Enlogix CIS, we now have
more Canadian utility customers in service than any other customer
aggregation and fulfillment provider in Canada," said Bill
Mahoney, president of SCT Energy, Utilities & Communications,
a market unit of SCT. "With the success at Westcoast Energy,
the new Enlogix implementation at the City of Calgary, and SCT's
operational success this summer at TorontoHydro, it becomes clear
that the SCT Banner and Enlogix solution is the predominant choice
for Canadian utilities." Since last month, two new SCT Banner
instances were implemented in the City of Calgary, serving 330,00
water and wastewater customers; ENMAX, serving 330,000 electric
customers in the City of Calgary; as well as Centra Gas Manitoba
and Union Gas, billing 260,000 and 265,000 gas customers respectively.
In addition to these recent implementations, Centra Gas British
Columbia, Pacific Northern Gas, and Union Energy have all implemented
enhanced versions of SCT Banner since July. With Banner, Union Energy
bills approximately one million customers.
