SCT Energy, Utilities and
Communications Market Unit Achieves Record Number of Client Implementations
in Fourth Quarter
SCT delivers breakthrough
business results for clients; better customer information means
better customer service provided by utilities and energy service
companies
MALVERN, PA., October 20, 1999 - SCT (Nasdaq:
SCTC) announced today that its energy, utilities, and communications
market unit brought a record number of clients into implementation
during its fourth fiscal quarter with the SCT Banner ® Customer
Management System.
During the fourth quarter, 12 utilities and energy service providers
achieved operational status using Banner CMS, bringing the number
of live SCT utility clients to72. This fourth quarter number of
"go lives" was a new quarterly record from the 10 clients
brought live during third quarter 1999. SCT's fourth quarter ended
September 30. SCT has brought a total of 34 energy clients live
during fiscal year 1999.
Implementations included Pacific Northern Gas and
Centra Gas British Columbia, both wholly owned subsidiaries of Canada's
West Coast Energy, Energas and United Cities, both subsidiaries
of Atmos Energy of Dallas, and Providence Gas. Also implemented
were the City of Trinidad & Tobago, Texas New Mexico Power,
the City of Columbus, Ohio, the City of Canton, Ohio, and Citizens
Gas & Coke of Indianapolis, the City of Provo, and the Nebraska
Public Power District.
New client signings in the fourth quarter include
Sierra Pacific Resources (Nevada), the City of Tempe, AZ, and the
City of Lubbock, TX. Also, SCT entered into contract extensions
with Cincinnati Water Works, Union Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary
of West Coast Energy, the City of Raleigh, NC and the City of Manitowac,
WI.
