Los Angeles Department of Water and
Power Goes Live with CIS Open-Vision
New Customer System Satisfies
Competitive Market Complexities
HOUSTON, TX, September 08, 1999 - Severn Trent Systems (STS)
announced today that Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP),
the largest municipally-owned utility in the U.S., has gone live
with STS' CIS OPEN-VISION (CIS O/V) product to Handle its billing
and customer-related activities.
May 1998, marked the implementation of the first of LADWP's two
initially identified rollout phases with CIS/OV successfully serving
commercial, and residential accounts in the Owens Valley area. LADWP
and STS now are working on the second phase of the rollout.

because those accounts included represent a broad cross-section
of billing challenges," said Barnell Albers, STS' Director
of Product Development. "Success in the first phase showcases
the tremendous flexibility and functionality of CIS O/V."
