CAMBRIDGE, MA., June 7, 1999 - Excelergy, the leading provider of billing, customer care, operating support and Web-enabled software, today announced that Joseph A. Voica - an 18-year veteran in sales and marketing for billing and customer care solutions - has joined the company as its new vice president of sales. "Joe Voica is the ideal person to Lead our sales force, with his broad experience in software, business growth and leadership skills. These attributes and his background in the deregulating telecommunications industry will be key in his role as a productive and valuable member of senior management team."

Voica will assume responsibility for handling the nationwide sales of the company's software products, including Excelergy (ABP 1200 (Advanced Billing Platform), Excelergy (EDITS (Electronic Data Interchange Transmission System), Excelergy (WERCS (Web-enabled Response Channel System) and Excelergy (Retail Operations Manager).

Prior to accepting this position with Excelergy, Voica was associate vice president at Saville Systems, Inc., where he helped transition the company from focusing on custom software to Billing customer care, and grew sales from about $20 million to$167 million annually. He also spent 12 years at Ameritech, moving from regional sales manager to product director, and eventually to division sales manager, where he was responsible for national sales activities on Ameritech's largest accounts.

Voica holds a master's of business administration degree in marketing and investing, in addition to his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and business administration from the University of Wisconsin.
