SCT Selects Teldata as Channel Distribution Partner

MALVERN, PA., March 6, 1998 SCT Utility Systems, Inc., a division of Systems & Computer Technology Corporation (SCT) (Nasdaq:SCTC) and Teldata, Inc.(Teldata) announced today the signing of a software marketing and sublicensing agreement that will provide a total information technology package for small to mid-size and municipal utilities. Teldata is a leader in strategic metering systems and utility information technology for electric, gas and water utilities and their customers. SCT Utility Systems, Inc. specializes in utility billing and financials software and customer information systems.

The agreement establishes Teldata as the main marketing channel for SCT's utility Billing/CIS/Financials in the small to mid-size and municipal utility markets. "The combination of our MeterSentry® automatic meter reading (AMR) technology with SCT's Billing/CIS/Financials package creates a product offering utilizing the ‘best of breed' in our respective industries," said Donna M. Salvatore, president and CEO of Teldata. "We are pleased to have Teldata as a uniquely-positioned BANNER reseller for SCT in the mid-size to smaller utilities marketplace," said Bill Mahoney, president, SCT Utility Systems. "Additionally, the combined efforts of SCT Utility Systems and Teldata, as a leading U.S. AMR vendor, create an alliance that gives us an even greater ability to provide services for many large-scale prospects."
